Join doublespace photography for an exclusive 5-day tour that will immerse you in the art and craft of architectural photography, while exploring iconic properties designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architects RCR Arquitectes. Situated near the picturesque town of Olot, 90 minutes outside of Barcelona, this workshop promises to offer a blend of world-class architecture, hands-on experience, and a truly inspiring environment.

Workshop Highlights:
- Photographing RCR Arquitectes’ Masterpieces: We will be getting privileged access to incredible architectural works designed by world-renowned firm, RCR Arquitectes. During these visits, we will capture the innovative use of space, light, and materials that define their work, all while exploring the serene beauty of the Garrotxa region. Click here to see the locations we'll be visiting, which include Les Cols Restaurant, Casa Horitzo, La Perelada Winery, Espai Barberi and Basil Tussols Stadium.
- Small Group Experience: The workshop will be led in an intimate setting of 8 participants, allowing for personalized feedback and one-on-one guidance throughout the process.
- Meals and Accommodation Included: We have taken care of all the details so you can focus on photography. Enjoy room and board during your stay, with the opportunity to connect with your instructors and fellow participants over local food. The accommodations are basic but comfortable (with shared bathrooms). This allows for a unique retreat experience at a historic and RCR-owned campus.

What’s Included:
- Guided Photography Sessions: Mornings will be spent reviewing and discussing the previous day's photos. We can also address questions of interest to the group. The afternoons will see us visit various RCR-designed properties in and around Olot, with plenty of time to explore each site, shoot, and refine your skills.
- Photographic guidance: Receive assignments, coaching and critique throughout the workshop.
- Transportation: We will pick you up in Barcelona and handle all transportation to and in Olot. We will drop you off at Barcelona Airport at the end of the workshop.
- All meals & accommodations: Enjoy an all-inclusive experience with meals provided daily, as well as accommodations at a 13th century farm in a scenic location.

What’s NOT Included:
- Flights: Participants are to arrange their own flights/transportation into Barcelona
- Barcelona stay: Participants are to arrange their stay in Barcelona before and after the workshop, should they wish to arrive early or stay on after the workshop.
- Snacks and alcoholic drinks. We recommend that you bring some personal snacks, especially for the on location days and if you follow a special diet. We can arrange for snack runs to a nearby supermarket. Alcoholic beverages are not included.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the full fee due? Tuition is due in full upon reserving your spot. Tuition is non-refundable but transferable. If you can’t make it, you may transfer your spot to someone else.
Where do we meet ? We will meet at a designated spot in Barcelona on the morning of September 28th, and head to Olot from there.
How will we get around? We will provide all transportation from Barcelona to Olot and between workshop locations. You are also welcome to bring your own vehicle if you so wish, there is parking at the farmhouse where we will stay.
Can I bring my spouse, partner or family? Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests unless they are full workshop participants.
I have dietary restrictions. Will I be able to eat the provided meals? You will be prompted to let us know of any and all dietary restrictions well ahead of the workshop. These will be communicated to the chef and accommodated in the catered menu. Regarding the meal at Les Cols, the menu is seasonal and fixed; we will provide an alternative option if necessary. We would recommend bringing some extra snacks if you follow a special diet.
I am a beginner photographer but would like to attend, will the workshop be too advanced? Photographers of all levels are welcome. Please note that the workshop is not geared towards teaching photography basics such as shutter speed. aperture and ISO. However, we are keeping the group very small to allow us to tailor the content to your individual needs.
I am an architect but would like to attend, is that possible? We will be visiting some incredible and significant architectural sites and you are most welcome (and will have ample opportunity) to enjoy the projects and take photos. However, please be advised that this is not a photography 101 course and not catered to basic photography instruction.
